Successful and timely delivery of orders ensures repeat buyers. We recommend that you process and ship all orders within 48 hours of receipt. Please note, ICMP may request proof of shipment from time to time for quality assurance purposes.
Sellers are required to ship items using a method that will deliver the item in the time frame quoted to the buyer. If an order requires extra funds for shipping, sellers may use the "Extra Shipping" status for e-commerce orders. For seller direct orders, the buyer should be contacted directly to arrange for extra shipping.
The priority and standard shipping speed is primarily an expectation of time it will take for the order to get to the buyer from the time you ship the parcel. Different jurisdictions use various terminologies to describe fast and slow shipping methods. We leave it open to you to choose the method of shipment, as long as the order does reach the customer within the stated timeframe. We do notify buyers that delays from Customs processing are not included in the shipping time estimates.
We recommend using a traceable method of shipping. By using a traceable shipping method, you have a way of confirming delivery if the buyer claims they did not receive the item. If you use a traceable method of shipping, you are responsible for entering this information onto our Web site before the buyer receives the item. If you do not, returns initiated for reason “Item did not arrive” may auto-complete.
We recommend that sellers package orders securely to avoid damage. The seller is responsible for the condition of the item when it is delivered to the buyer. Insuring orders protects the seller should an order fail to arrive, or is damaged in transit. If an order requires insurance, sellers may use the "Extra Shipping" status for e-commerce orders. For seller direct orders, the buyer should be contacted directly to arrange for insurance. Requesting extra shipping for insurance is not an option for Seller Programs.
ICMP offers a global service for listing and purchasing items online. Sellers are expected to process all orders regardless of origin. Sellers who reject orders based on their origin will see their fulfillment rate decline. The ICMP Performance Standards state that sellers are required to maintain a fulfillment rate of 80%. Those sellers who choose to reject international orders risk removal from the ICMP Web sites.
Should you have multiple warehouses (or other ship-from locations) internationally, we require that you open a seller account for each ship-from location. Buyers must be aware of what location their order is being mailed from in order to ensure a consistent item-buying experience. If you ship from several locations within one country, please be sure to state this in your Shipping Terms field.
