Identity Verification establishes your proof of identity, helping others trust you as a seller or buyer.
Once your identity is verified and your seller account is approved, you can begin selling in the ICMP marketplace.
In the ID Verify process your personal information is cross-checked against consumer and business databases for consistency. You will be asked to enter information such as your name and date of birth, as well as to identify certain installment and credit accounts and their associated monthly payments. ID Verify is not a credit check.
When your information is successfully verified, you will receive an ID Verify icon in your ID card, located in your member profile.
Once you have successfully passed the ID Verify process, a $5 fee will be charged to your ICMP account. You won't be charged if you do not complete the process or if you do not successfully pass the ID Verify process.
ID Verify is only available to residents of the United States and U.S. territories (Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, and Guam).
You must provide your home address and personal information to pass the online verification process. Work address and contact information are currently not accepted.
Yes, however after successful verification you must wait 30 days before you may change your contact information. If you change any of your contact information after the 30-day period, your ID Verify icon and status will be removed. If you wish to restore your ID Verify status you will have to go through the verification process again and be charged the $5 application fee.
You may wish to verify the information you entered is correct (we recommend having your documents handy while you go through the process). Not passing the ID Verify process will not affect your credit.
Your privacy is important to us. The information provided will only be used for verification purposes. Additionally, your information is encrypted and sent using a secure 128-bit encrypted SSL connection to protect the transfer of your information.
ICMP stores only your contact information and date of birth. ICMP does not store personal information, such as social security or driver's license numbers. VeriSign does not update the information that you provide through ICMP, but only compares it against existing information in their files to verify your identity.
VeriSign cannot add information into its database that recognizes you as an ICMP user (except for auditing purposes, as required by law). Also, it cannot make any notation in its database that the information provided was confirmed (or not) with the information in their databases.
Asking questions related to your credit is a security measure that protects you from someone else attempting to get verified with your information. ID Verify is not a credit check, and whether or not you pass the verification process will not affect your credit.

To begin selling on ICMP, you need to register and then create a seller's account.
To register as a seller, simply click the SELL link at the top of any ICMP page, and then click 'Sell Your Item'.
You will be asked to provide credit or debit card information and your checking account details.
If you don't have a credit card or would rather not provide this information, become ID Verified.
